Of Mice and Men

Many contemporary philosophers present radical and convincing arguments for extending our moral solicitude to other sentient beings. Meanwhile, their specific intelligence, ability of empathy and esthetic perception challenge old metaphysical definitions of the human and invite biologists to reconsider some dogmas of the traditional ethology. What can we learn about ourselves while exploring world of animals?
