Lecturer and tutor at the Department of Philosophy, Trnava University, Silvia Gáliková has been exploring issues around consciousness at the crossroad between science and philosophy, trying to bridge the gap between the brain activity and the intimate experience of thinking (Philosophy of Consciousness; Foundations of Cognitive Neuroscience, 2013). She is a member of the Institute of Philosophy of the Slovak Academy of Sciences.
